Team bio:

The Avengers are a friendly, welcoming group made up of players from across the local area, including Blewbury, Harwell, Cholsey and Wallingford. We pride ourselves on creating a fun, supportive and inclusive environment where every girl feels valued, encouraged and confident both on and off the pitch.

Our coaching philosophy focuses on enjoyment of football alongside the development of fundamental skills and confidence. We believe that girls learn best when they are having fun, and we support this with equal game time for all players on match days. This approach has helped us build a strong track record of developing players while maintaining a positive team spirit.

We train on Wednesday evenings, with summer sessions held in Blewbury and winter training based at Harwell School. Matches are played on Saturday mornings, with our home games taking place at Aston Tirrold.

Off the pitch, we support building friendships and team spirit. The team has enjoyed social activities together, including trampolining sessions and a trip to watch a Women’s Super League match, helping to strengthen bonds and make football a truly enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
